Late Night Opening on Thursday.
The first of our late night openings is this Thursday 5th. December, from 7.00.p.m. to 9.00.p.m. We will be joined by the Cleeve Singers, under their conductor Pat Holmes, who will be singing Carols and seasonal music for us.
There will be free mulled wine and hot mince pies, warmed at the furnace, and the workshop will be lit by candle-light.
This is a lovely way to get in the mood for the festive season, and a chance to buy some unusual Christmas gifts or some of our hand-made Christmas decorations.
This year we can offer our hand-made baubles in Clear Crystal glass, Cranberry, and Gold Topaz as well as traditional Bristol Blue! Why not start your new collection of Christmas decorations? - but hurry, there a only a limited number available!

New Christmas Angel now available!
Every year we produce a Christmas angel, and we think this years is one of the best yet. 'Nativity Angel' is hand-made in our Bedminster workshop from our finest 24% lead crystal, and as usual stands approx. 15 cms tall to the tip of her wings. She is nursing the Christ-child in her arms, and we are sure that this delightful design will melt the hearts of all who see her.
This will be a strictly limited edition, so you need to order now to be sure of adding 'Nativity Angel' to your collection. For those who are missing previous years' editions in their collection, there are still a very few 'Angel at Prayer', 'Guardian Angel', 'Carolling Angel', and 'Star Angel' in stock at the moment.

See us on TV!
Next Tuesday and Thursday the Company Secretary, Dr. Francis Burroughes, will be recording the first programme in a new BBC Series called 'The Great Antiques Map' to be shown in the spring. He will be joined by Tim Wonnacot, the popular host of such favourites as 'Bargain Hunt' and many other television antique programmes. This new series will visit towns and cities around the country, noted for their production in the past of great antiques and collectibles, and the BBC Researchers decided that Bristol must have pride of place. Of course, they will be discussing Bristol Blue Glass, and as we are on the site of the Bedminster Glassworks of 1716, the BBC will also be recording some modern collectible items being made today in Bristol, due to become the Antiques and heirloom pieces of tomorrow.
Included in the filming will be the creation of a new and utterly exclusive design, so top-secret that it will not be revealed until the programme is broadcast in April next year!
